Campus Wide ProgramsThese major programs are involve much of the university and help foster a sense of community on our large campus. Many campus wide programs run for multiple days and consist of many smaller events spread all throughout the campus. Opening WeekendOpening Weekend is a weekend of fun activities including a picnic for new students and families, Rocking Rally Concert Featuring Smashmouth, a Welcome Back Bash for all returning students including a foam pit dance party and bonfire, free food and more, and on Sunday night we have an outdoor movie, this year it is Pirates of the Caribbean III. Late Night UB
Late Night UB is a series of fun activities for UB students who live on- or off-campus. Programs take place 10 pm to 2 am on
Friday nights during the semester. From interactive game shows, to poker tournaments, to New Year's parties and movies, there's
something for everyone after 10 pm! Programs are hosted by student groups and university departments - and they all take place
ON CAMPUS! Most events are free to UB students. Whether you stop by for a few minutes or a few hours, there's always something
to do at Late Night UB!!! September WelcomeSeptember Welcome is a campus-wide series of special events that are designed to celebrate the beginning of the academic year and welcome new students to the University. This year we have 100 foot and a 50 foot banana split, video games, fairs and more. Family WeekendFamily Weekend is an annual event that takes place each fall semester. The weekend offers a variety of events for students and their families to take part in. This years Friday events include an Ice Cream Social, Late Night Jazz Coffeehouse and Bingo. Saturday's main events are a Big Top Tent Party and an Evening of Comedy featuring Dan Ahdoot, Loni Love, and Edwin San Juan. The events on Sunday include a family brunch and afternoon of music with a cappella group InPluse. Haunted UnionHaunted Union is a two day-long series of fun, Halloween activities and traditions, including a haunted house, pumpkin carving contest, and much more. Festival of TraditionsStarted by Student Life in 1994, the Festival of Traditions includes activities during early December, designed to honor the many winter holiday traditions celebrated by students, faculty, and staff. Countdown to CommencementSenior Celebration is a University-wide tradition that celebrates the accomplishments of our graduating seniors. The highlight is a Senior Brunch cooked and served by UB faculty and staff.
