Team UB

Who is Team UB?
Team UB is a group of diverse students interested in becoming involved in marketing, programming, and/or assessment for Student Affairs’ events.

What is Team UB?
Team UB is a new way for a large group of students to be a part of Student Affairs’ events. These events include Family Weekend, the Haunted Union, and many other events such as Multicultural Affairs and Leadership Development programs, Community Service, and many other fun activities. Students can get involved either through helping out with the marketing of the events, volunteering at the events or through assessment programs after the events and planning and implementing their own events.

What are our expectations of the students involved in Team UB?
Because Team UB is designed to include a large number of students, there is no mandatory time commitment. We want students to get involved to the degree that best fits into their schedule. There will be many opportunities for students to attend meetings and get involved with multiple events each month. All events and meetings are open to anyone who wishes to participate and be involved in Team UB.

Benefits provided by being a member of Team UB include

  • leadership and skills training to participating students
  • a rewards system for participation
  • valuable experience in marketing, programming, and assessment for students’ resumes
  • a venue for socialization and friendship development

Our Mission Statement
Team UB aims to involve a large number of student volunteers in building pride, community and awareness at UB through helping to plan, market, carry out and assess events put on by the Division of Student Affairs.
