This portion of the program will teach you good techniques to make the most of the networking event.

This event is designed to link UB students and recent grads with current alumni professionals working in a variety of fields in the Buffalo area. As opposed to a formal, job-oriented career fair, Career Conversations facilitates informal discussions on various education and career paths and helps students learn about the world of work and occupational areas of interest.

The registration window for this event has changed and now opens on Monday, November 21.

A series of employer site visits for students during the winter break. Online registration for students begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, November 21 and ends Friday, December 2!

Site visits may include panel discussions of employees and/or interns, site tours, or networking sessions. The programs cost $10.00 per site. Students must provide their own transportation to and from the site, and are responsible for any incidental expense they may incur.

Four-person student teams are given a case and asked to resolve a corporate problem that spans several functional areas. Teams will serve as consultants to the Target Corporation.

First Place: $ 3,000

The UB Technology Incubator and Directed Energy are hosting their first "book club" meeting. While all entrepreneurs are busy, very busy in fact, you cannot afford to ignore reading the many good books written on entrepreneurship and business in general. We are asking that interested persons read one great book before April and come tell us about it. We ask that you:
  1. Identify and share ~5 lessons, quotes or other "take home memorable moments" in your chosen book
  2. Grade the book (1-5 stars), and
  3. Help the group to understand who really needs to read it.
