Connect with a Career Services Counselor!

Individual Appointments:

To make an individual appointment with a counselor, call 645-2231. Meeting with a career counselor can assist you with any aspect of your career planning. If you are trying to make a decision about your major or career choice, find a job or internship, or choose a graduate or professional school program, a career counselor can help.

Quick Question Hours:

Counselors are available during Quick Question hours from 8:30 - 5 pm in the Career Services Career Library, Capen 259. Quick Question hours are for students who have short inquiries that last under 10-15 minutes. Examples of Quick Questions might include a brief review of your resume or cover letter, a question about an upcoming interview, or an inquiry regarding on-campus job opportunities. If you would like a longer time period, please call for an appointment (645-2231). It is always a good idea to call the office if you are planning to stop by at a particular time to ensure that there have not been changes to the daily schedule.

Instant Message (IM) Career Services:

The "IM Career Services" program is a great way to connect to Career Services right from the comfort and convenience of home, office, or your favorite place to work off-site. The program is designed to help UB students ask questions and get answers fast. UB staff members will assist you with any of your immediate concerns regarding the job search, interviewing skills, using our Online Career Office, upcoming events, and other services. "IM Career Services" is free and accessible to all UB students.
