Eligibility

Students who have completed all degree requirements (including the timely filing of a degree form) for graduation after the 2011 summer session (September 2011) or after the 2011 Fall semester (February 2012) or are tentatively scheduled to do so after the 2012 spring semester (June 2012) are eligible to participate in a School of Management commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 11, 2012.

If you have not met all the requirements to be on the official graduation list, you still may participate in a School of Management commencement ceremony. Registration is required to participate in either ceremony. Online registration will be available via the School of Management website starting January 2012. If you do not register you will not be eligible to participate in your respective ceremony. If you are not officially graduating in September 2011, February 2012 or June 2012 your name will not appear in the printed May 2012 commencement program.

The 2012 School of Management undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies will take place at Alumni Arena (North Campus) on Friday, May 11, 2012. There will be two ceremonies: one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students. The undergraduate ceremony will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and is expected to last until approximately 2:45 p.m. Prospective graduates from the undergraduate program must arrive at the Triple Gym on the ground floor of Alumni Arena at 11:30 a.m. The graduate ceremony will begin promptly at 5 p.m. and is expected to last until approximately 6:45 p.m. Prospective graduates of the graduate programs must arrive at the Triple Gym on the ground floor of Alumni Arena at 3:30 p.m. All prospective graduates seeking to attend the undergraduate or graduate commencement ceremony MUST register for the commencement ceremony online. Filing a degree form is not registering for the commencement ceremony. The online registration will be available on the School of Management website beginning in January 2012. Near the end of February 2012, all students eligible to participate in the commencement exercises will be sent information regarding the ceremony and instructed to register via the online form if they wish to attend. It is imperative that students wishing to attend either ceremony register. To ensure prospective graduates are seated and then recognized in alphabetical sequence by degree, registration for the ceremony must be completed by April 6, 2012.
