Membership At the University at Buffalo, membership in a Greek letter organization offers students unique opportunities for campus involvement, scholarship, leadership, and socializing
Member Organizations The Inter Greek Council (IGC) is the umbrella organization which recognizes and oversees all social fraternal organizations on the UB campus. IGC coordinates programming and education with the Panhellenic Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, the Inter Fraternity Council, the United Council of Cultural Fraternities and Sororities, and the United Coeducational Greek Council.
Anti-Discrimination Policy The Inter-Greek Council, and its affiliated organizations do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, condition of handicap, religion, or creed.

Information for Parents The University at Buffalo has more than 40 recognized fraternities and sororities legitimately affiliated with our campus. Membership can provide your son or daughter with a positive, enriching experience along with a myriad of leadership and service opportunities.
Philanthropy Reports
The Greek-letter social organizations at the University at Buffalo participate, sponsor and assist with many events on and off campus. In addition to philanthropic events, raising money for charity, they also assist community organizations in accomplishing their goals. Service to the community may be in the form of manpower, program and/or guest speaker provision (educational or awareness).
