The Blake Center is open Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Academic Success Centers and Tutoring

Campus Living study centers are specifically designed to help students with academic transition issues. The study centers provide a quiet place to study and an environment in which students can engage in small group work. Residential Education Academic Success Centers and Study Lounges are located in all three of our Residence Hall areas. If you have questions about these areas, contact Residential Education at 716-645-2008.

Tutoring Program

Campus Living supports 2 free tutoring services; On-site and Online

On-Site Tutoring

On-site tutoring is available during Fall and Spring semesters Sunday through Thursday, 7pm - 10pm at the Blake, Jones and Goodyear Academic Success Centers. Tutoring is provided in various subjects including English, biology, chemistry, math, physics and writing. See schedule for specific locations and subjects.

For Spring semester, on-site tutoring begins Sunday, February 1 and ends Tuesday May 12.

Online Tutoring for Writing, Math, Accounting and Chemistry

Online tutoring is available for writing, math, accounting and chemistry Sunday through Thursday, 7 pm to 12 midnight during Fall and Spring semesters. Campus Living is a member of STAR-NY, a consortium of New York colleges and universities who share resources in tutoring.

  • Writing and Math are available Sunday - Thursday
  • Chemistry is available Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
  • Accounting is available Monday

Online tutoring begins Sunday, February 1 and ends Thursday, May 7.

Become A Tutor

Interested in being a tutor? Minimum qualifications are 3.0 cumulative GPA, B+ in course you wish to tutor and effective communication skills. Application and faculty recommendation are required for consideration.
