Before you consider other housing options, know all the facts!
- Hidden Costs: Many off campus landlords do not mention hidden costs in their advertisements (electricity, laundry, cable). With on-campus housing, you pay only ONE BILL that covers all expenses and is applied directly to your student account!
- Trust: Campus Living provides the ONLY housing that is sponsored by the University at Buffalo.
- GPA: National research shows students who live on-campus do better academically than those living off campus.
- Choice: We have different housing options to match your needs. With both academic and full year contracts, we have the perfect option just for YOU!
Renew Campus Housing
Campus living offers several renewal options for UB students. Please refer to the section below that identifies the area in which you would like to live next year. Please note, the Residence Halls & Apartments have 2 separate application processes. If you are interested and eligible for both the apartments and the residence halls, you must apply for each separately.
Residence Hall Room Reservation
(for all currently enrolled UB students who want to live in Residence Halls - including Greiner Hall):
Current UB students (whether you live in the halls or not) apply to live in the halls for the upcoming academic year in early spring (often during the month of February). You must put in your deposit and electronically sign the terms of agreement. After applying, returning students get to select their actual room in an online process called room reservation.

Apartment Renewal
(ONLY for students currently living in UB apartments):
- Submit intent to renew online December 5, 2011 - January 20, 2012
- Sign agreements and leases early February 2012
- Intent to Renew or Vacate Website
Apartment Application Collection
(for all currently enrolled UB students who DO NOT currently live in UB apartments):
- January 17 - 27, 2012 is the priority period. Students who apply during this time are given preference if they have lived on-campus
- After January 27, 2012 we will continue to accept applications, however no preference will be given for living on-campus
