UB's Residential Mission
Campus Living seeks to create inclusive residential communities for students to not only study and live, but also to interact with others in a positive and safe environment built upon mutual respect. Campus Living has established:
- Clear expectations for all who live and work in the residence halls based on standards adapted from ACPA, NASPA & ACUHO-I ethical statements and guidelines
- Well-trained and dedicated staff who take responsibility for their actions, understand their boundaries and show strong leadership
- A focus on providing the information our students and staff need to make well-informed decisions
- Students who know and respect each other and the staff in their residence halls and apartments
- Students and staff who show ownership and respect for their physical environment
Note: Environment characteristics adapted from Northern Michigan University.
