Mentoring Programs

S.A.G.E. (Success through Access to Guidance and Experience) Internship Program - The purpose of this program is to encourage a diverse group of outstanding UB undergraduate students who demonstrate that they have overcome a disadvantage or impediment to success in higher education to pursue graduate studies, to enter a career in Higher Education or another specific career field. SAGE interns are provided the unique opportunity to obtain a paid internship position, mentorship, networking and guidance related to their educational and career goals while they gain professional development skills and relatable work experience in their area of interest. Each SAGE intern participates up to 10 hours per week in an internship related to their educational and career goals and works with a supervisor who will act as a mentor. Students can receive a stipend for the academic year.

Student Affairs Mentoring Program - Undergraduate students who are interested in exploring the field of Higher Education, specifically Student Affairs, are offered the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program. Students who are accepted into the program will be paired with a mentor, a Student Affairs professional, who will work closely with him/her to learn about the profession as a career path.
