January: World Religions Month
1/25/12 Dessert Hour, 1 - 2 p.m. in the IDC
This dessert hour will focus on World Religions Month. Stop by the Intercultural and Diversity Center in 240 Student Union between 1 and 2 pm. Grab a dessert, hang out in the office, and learn facts about the various religions of the world through music, educational posters, a slideshow, and trivia questions. Feel free to stop by for a few minutes or stay for the entire hour.
February: Black History Month
2/7/12 Cultural Symbology: Africa, 5 p.m. in the IDC
In conjunction with the annual African Bazaar, this workshop explores culturally significant symbols of the global and local African community. Join us for this one-hour workshop as we learn about the world of the African culture by examining symbols, historical events, and notable players that have advanced this group's fight for equality and justice.
2/8/12 African Bazaar, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union Lobby
Join us to celebrate the cultural enrichment of the African heritage through informational poster displays, entertainment, cultural cuisine, cultural crafts and other traditions.

March: Women's History

Stop by the Intercultural and Diversity Center to grab a dessert, hang out in the office, and learn about the contributions of the outstanding Women in history through educational posters, a slideshow, and trivia questions. April: Asian American History

In conjunction with the annual Asian Bazaar, this workshop explores culturally significant symbols Asian American culture. Join us for this one-hour workshop as we learn more about the origins and significance of these (and many more) cultural symbols from our peers and members of the UB and WNY community.
