Student Advocate
The Students' Advocate Office was established to address students' academic and non-academic questions.
Community Service
Community Service was initiated on campus by the Division of Student Affairs in Spring of 1990. The program is administered by the Office of Judicial Affairs/Student Advocacy.
Student-Wide Judiciary
The Student-Wide Judiciary (SWJ) is the judicial extension of the University at Buffalo student governments. It was created to implement a system of discipline that is based on "fair play" and timely adjudication.
Rules and Regulations
University disciplinary processes take appropriate action when student conduct directly and significantly interferes with the University's primary educational responsibility of insuring all members of its community the opportunity to attain their educational objectives in consonance with the institution's mandate. These regulations governing student behavior have been formulated to be reasonable and realistic for all students.
Good Samaritan Policy
The Good Samaritan Policy was instituted to encourage students to call for help in a health and safety emergency, who may be reluctant to do so because they fear their own behavior may be a violation and may have disciplinary consequences.

Alcohol Review Board
If alcoholic beverages are served at scheduled events on campus, authorization is required from the Alcohol Review Board, or one of its delegated agencies.
Freedom of Information Law
The University complies fully with the New York State "Freedom of Information Law" (Article VI, Public Officers Law, as amended effective January 1, 1978), which was enacted to assure public accountability of state agencies while protecting individuals against unwarranted invasions of personal privacy.
Drug Free Schools Act
The State University of New York at Buffalo is committed to clear and concise policies on substance abuse, and a strong program of counseling, treatment, rehabilitation, and re-entry programs for all campus University employees and students.
Comprehensive Fee
The Comprehensive Fee is a consolidation of campus-required fees which support several University services. The Comprehensive Fee is paid by all students at the University at Buffalo, unless they meet fee waiver requirements.
