Director: Orientation, Transition & Parent Programs
We make the transition to UB easier by teaching students strategies for success and connecting them to people and resources early in their UB experience. Parents of UB students can find answers to common questions, referrals to university resources, or opportunities to get more involved.
Orientation, Transition & Parent Programs is committed to providing all new undergraduate students a strong foundation for academic and personal development and success at UB. Additionally, the office is committed to providing parents with access to the information and resources they need to help their students make a smooth transition to UB.
- Orientation programs for incoming first-time students and students transferring to UB
- Support and resources to help first-year students transition to college
- Transfer student mentorship and social/informational programs
- Parents and family orientations
- Resources and involvement opportunities for parents and family members of UB undergraduates
Who Should Use Our Services
Incoming first-time students as well as students transferring to UB should take advantage of our programs and services. Parents and family members of undergraduate students may also partner with us to support their student's success. Finally, continuing UB students who are interested in sharing their experiences and expertise with new UB students can take a leadership role offered through our department.
