ACCESS Study: Information and Presentation Now Available to UB Campus Community

During the fall 2008 semester, UB participated in The Assessment of Campus Climate to Enhance Student Success (ACCESS) study, a research initiative of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD). The study aims to help ensure the most fully inclusive environment possible for students with disabilities by enhancing the knowledge needed to change attitudes and practices on college campuses.

For the study, data were collected from UB faculty, administrators, staff and students with and without disabilities regarding the campus climate for students with disabilities. The ACCESS information equips the university with the tools needed to take a proactive approach to creating a more-inclusive UB, something that will benefit the entire campus community.

To arrange for a presentation about the survey for any interested faculty, administrative, staff, or student group or class on campus, please contact Dr. Susan Mann Dolce the Accessibility Resources Assistant Director for Consultation and Research, at 645-2608.
