When to Contact Us
Rather than set hard and fast deadlines, we encourage students to contact us at their earliest opportunity when requesting reasonable accommodations, etc. Every reasonable effort will be made to provide timely and effective services. Because many requests require staff time to implement, however, last-minute requests may result in unfortunate delays. Untimely requests may result in denial.
Two examples of a last-minute request would be textbooks in alternative media or auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters during or just before the first week of classes. An example of an untimely request would be accommodated course tests just two or three weeks before final exams.
