Finding Off-Campus Housing

Finding an Apartment Off-campus

If you are looking for an apartment off-campus, particularly if you are not experienced in real estate matters, you should proceed with caution. A recent survey of student housing found that a majority of properties did not meet minimum NY state housing code for safety. This was particularly true in the area around the south campus. While the university does not endorse any particular off-campus housing options, the listings provided by Off-Campus Student Services are limited to those properties whose owners demonstrate they have passed a safety inspection in the past 36 months.
