A Safety Message from VP of Student Affairs

Intercultural & Diversity Center

Our Mission

The Intercultural & Diversity Center provides cultural enrichment opportunities, education, programming and multicultural leadership experiences that raise the awareness and appreciation of diversity and social justice issues. We strive to enhance our university climate, celebrate difference and improve the quality of intercultural life for all students, faculty and staff at the University at Buffalo and Western New York community.

Overview of the Intercultural & Diversity Center at UB

Student Life's Intercultural & Diversity Center is a comfortable, welcoming location to study or engage in small group discussion or work. The location is used for educational and awareness-building programs and trainings, to help students and the entire University build an understanding and appreciation of diversity, social justice and cultural identity. Programs and services foster academic, personal and professional growth -- that promotes a multi-ethnic, culturally conscious University community.

About Intercultural & Diversity Center Programs

Connect, Create & Act!

Everyday on our campuses and within the community we all have a unique opportunity to interact and learn from other people from very diverse backgrounds and lifestyles. As a model for inclusive excellence and to foster multicultural/global knowledge, awareness and skills, all of our programs are concentrated within three core themes for diversity, inclusion and social justice.

Connect – Connecting Communities through Cultural Activities
Create – Creating a Climate for Change
Act – Social Justice in Action
