University Police Alerts and Timely Warnings List
An incident has occurred on or near a University at Buffalo campus that may pose a continuing threat to the university community. This warning is provided so that you may take whatever action is deemed necessary for your safety.
Remember that there is safety in numbers. It is best to travel with others, especially after dusk. Always be cognizant of your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the University Police. Use the UB's transportation services or SBI Safety Services escort program. Members of the community are urged to be vigilant at all times. Report any unusual circumstances or suspicious persons/activities to the University Police as soon as possible.

NFTA Investigating an Assault 12/8/11
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police (NFTA) is investigating an assault reported on Wednesday, December 7 at 8:50 p.m. The incident occurred off-campus, at the top of the University Station Metro stop.
The 20-year-old male victim reported being approached and assaulted by three younger males outside of the subway station. The three suspects fled in a late-model white, four-door Buick Century in an unknown direction. One of the suspects was video-taping the assault. The victim (who is not a UB student) declined medical attention.
