About the UB Men's Group
A violence prevention program from UB.
Take a Stand, Join the Good Guys

Playwright Eve Ensler with UB Men's Group Members, Spring 2008
The UB Men's Group is one of several violence prevention programs presented at UB each year. Sponsored by UB Student Affairs' Student Wellness Team, the Men's Group is a student-run, university-advised group of advocates and peer educators whose goal is to stamp out violence against women.
We realize that most acts of violence towards women are committed by men and that this will only change when good men take a stand. It is our obligation to help other men realize that change must start within. We never commit, condone or remain silent about relationship violence or sexual violence. We choose to respect, listen to, seek equality with and share power with every person we meet.
We raise campus awareness of "violence against women" by participating in such campus events as "Take Back the Night" and "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" and many other programs.
