Etch Your Name Into the UB Student Union!

The Student Union on the North Campus opened in the Fall of 1992. The Student Union serves as a "hearthstone” for the University by providing a variety of social, cultural, and educational programs which work to support and enhance the mission of UB. The Student Union at the University at Buffalo acts as a "hub” for students to gather and meet to exchange ideas, eat lunch or take part in the many events that occur daily.

Student Union's Buy a Brick Program

In the Spring of 1992, the members of UB's Leadership Practicum pursued a project which would increase the sense of community and belonging at the University. The result of their effort......BRICKS !

Today, the program continues to engrave the names of the University community on the outer wall of the Student Union to show their pride for the University at Buffalo!

You, along with the rest of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to Buy a Brick on the outer wall of the Student Union and have it engraved with your name or message. By purchasing a personalized brick for only $40.00 you can become a permanent part of the University at Buffalo!

The "Wall of Bricks” is located on the south side of the Student Union, facing Baldy Hall. It is easily visible by students and visitors entering the Student Union. Any name or message can be engraved, up to 17 characters.

Bricks can also be purchased as gifts! Parents can give their graduating senior a life-long gift, or welcome their new student to UB. The Building a Legacy program provides a unique opportunity to leave an enduring symbol of your support and pride of the University at Buffalo. Simply complete the attached Order Form to become part of UB's present and future!
