WELCOME TO UB!

Opening Weekend is UB’s kick-off to September Welcome - a month of activities to celebrate the new academic year.

This year’s opening will be full of activity.

Attend the University Welcome, where President Simpson and UB’s faculty get you ready for the year.

And be sure to collect your BLUE & WHITE tickets. White tickets can win you UB merchandise like hats and t-shirts and more. Blue tickets put you in the running for laptops and $500 prizes.

Plenty of volunteers will be ready to help you check-in. So get ready. We can’t wait to see you.

When you arrive on campus, pick up an Opening Weekend Guide at your residence hall or the Student Union. It’s a useful list of all the weekend’s activities.

Opening Weekend 2008

Opening Weekend events are free to new students. (S) events are for students only. No registration is required but many events are first come first served.

Win with UB Colors: Blue & White tickets***

At each of the events at Opening Weekend, pick up a Blue or White prize ticket for chances to win lots of fabulous prizes.

WHITE tickets:
Collect WHITE tickets at any of the events listed below, on Thurs. Aug. 21 and Fri. Aug. 22.
Win UB Gear, including t-shirts, hats and other UB prizes.

BLUE tickets:
Available, one per person, ONLY at the University Welcome, Fri., 4:30 pm, Center for the Arts Main Stage.
Win a laptop computer and $500 in campus cash or $500 towards your books.

***Winners will be chosen Fri., Aug. 22 at the Concert at the Point, 7 pm, Baird Point.
